Three Days In...

I am now 3 days into my "diet". The worst time of the day has been 9:00 pm. It was the time of my before bed snack and I really miss it. I have been getting really grumpy around that time (hey its coming up in 30 minutes!) The lack of caffeine hasn't been bad, although I do get sick of drinking water. We have these "fizzy tabs" that at first tasted like cool-aid but now remind me more of cough syrup. Haven't lost any weight but I have been feeling better. Not enough though to claim this diet is worth it. As of now I think it sucks.
Monday I ate a oven roasted chicken breast salad from subway for lunch, and shrimp linguini with "gluten free" noodles. We have this great recipe that consists of shrimp and panchetta (Wifey's fancy bacon) sauteed in olive oil, lemon juice, butter and assorted spices. It is all mixed with the noodles. It just wasn't the same without the pork and butter, or the french bread that is supposed to accompany it.
Tuesday I had left overs for lunch, and we had chicken tortilla soup (without cheese) for supper. It was good but I got really cranky around 9.
Today I went to abuelo's for lunch and ate up on the buffet. Tried to stay away from things I wasn't supposed to have, but I'm sure I messed up a little. Had shrimp, potatoes, vegetables with black beans and a couple other things. Everything tasted extremely good and I am sure everything was cooked in lots of butter. Felt great though the rest of the day (that's interesting). Supper we ate hamburger patties with oven fries (not fried) and fruit.
Three days in I think this diet is pointless, and I would love to quit. But I will keep going on, maybe something good will come from this.

  1. You'll feel better when you read the scale in a week and you've dropped! Knowing you its going to be 15 pounds. Shoot to break Kevan's record! Hang in there. You can do anything for 28 days!
